Quality is all important but - like truly committed Locavores - we also believe in shopping locally. Not only does local sourcing support and keep the money circulating within your community, but it will reveal food treasures of local distinctiveness. Our aim is that it is the site where Food Lovers and FoodLovers Approved businesses meet, exchange information, knowledge and products – in fact anything and everything relating to the food experience. We nurture the hope that if every Food Lover were to share their knowledge of the wealth of great food Britain has to offer, our lives - and diets - would be enriched.  

FoodLovers searches high and low throughout Britain for the best quality local and regional food businesses. The FoodLovers team is always travelling around and on the look-out, relying on recommendations, nominations online, a good nose and a good palate. Businesses are required to register and self-certify on an annual basis (as from March 15 2011) to ensure standards are maintained. Once FoodLovers Approved, there are a range of member opportunities and benefits, such as attending our FoodLovers Fairs and Markets, a free listing on our site and participating in our Online Community Shopping Site.
